The catoctin church is a group of Christians, baptized into the body of the one and only savior Jesus Christ, who strive together to serve him. We regularly meet together to study God’s word, to worship God, to pray, and to encourage each other.
Thurmont is located between Gettysburg PA and Frederick MD, and calls itself the “Gateway to the Mountains”. There are many nearby attractions include the Catoctin Mountain National Park, Mt St. Mary’s University, the National Emergency Training Center, Gettysburg National Military Park (Battlefield), Antietam National Battlefield, the former Fort Richie, and Fort Detrick. We are also within easy driving distance to the Nations Capital, and Baltimore MD. We would be honored to have you worship with us when you are in the area.
Our worship services follow the biblical pattern of worship with acappella congregational singing, prayer, study of God’s word, weekly partaking of the Lord’s Supper, and we take up a collection from our members.
